Chuck Chamblee Wins Inaugural All Pro King of the Ring 300 Big Show

Thursday, April 2, 2015 -- Chuck Chamblee took all of the honors in the inaugural All Pro King of the Ring 300, starting last week with winning the pole position, then leading the most laps and taking the checkered flag Thursday night in the 300-lapper at South Boston Speedway.  Chamblee led the field of sixteen starters to the green flag, pursued closely by Rex Hoyle.  Chamblee held the lead through lap 125, with Hoyle right on his bumper, then the duo came to pit road under caution.  Dan Murray, who pitted earlier in the race assumed the lead and led for 37 laps before Chamblee retook the lead with a pass to the inside.  Hoyle once again became the pursuer, running just a car length back from Chamblee.  But just a few laps after a restart Hoyle and Scott Formosa made contact while racing for 2nd, bringing out another caution.  Hoyle climbed back to the 2nd spot with an impressive performance, and once again set his sights on the lead.  Another caution period inside the final sixty laps would bring Chamblee and Hoyle to pit road again, giving Matt Vaade the lead.  Vaade lead the next 17 laps before pitting, giving Chamblee the lead again.  The ensuing final 50 laps would be some of the toughest laps up front, with Hoyle turning up the heat on Chamblee for the lead, and Vaade battling Murray for 3rd.  The final caution on lap 296 would end the race, with Chamblee finishing just ahead of Matt Vaade, Adam Blattel, Rex Hoyle and Colby Franklin, the top five finishers.
